I’ve been meaning to launch this for a while, and I’m hyped to finally get it going! Every week, I’ll be putting you on to artists that are making real noise—whether they’re blowing up or still flying under the radar. Let’s lock in and get started!

Kicking things off is EC, an artist out of Northern Virginia who’s been catching my attention for a minute now. His sound is one of the most versatile I’ve heard in a while. One song might be jerk-inspired, the next is a rage beat, and then he’ll hit you with something that is reminiscent of 2000s RnB. That kind of range isn’t easy to pull off, but he does it without any issue. His track “SUMBODY ELSE” recently passed 4.5K streams on Spotify, and that momentum is only picking up. This week, EC is back with a brand new single called “XO,” and I was lucky enough to get an early listen. The beat sounds like it was made perfectly for his voice, his delivery is smooth, and the wordplay on this track is next level. It’s bar after bar, punchline after punchline.“XO” drops on SoundCloud this week and will hit all major platforms the week after. Keep your eyes on EC and watch as he continues to level up.

Next up is an artist who’s been making serious noise lately by the name of TPG Stax. He’s coming out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Even though it’s a smaller city compared to places like Philly or Pittsburgh, Stax makes sure his name rings out regardless. He’s proof that you don’t need a major city behind you to stand out. Stax has a sound that’s honestly one of one. I haven’t heard anyone else do what he does, and the growth he’s shown over the past few months has been wild. He’s an artist that will give you a stank face every time you listen to a song. The punchlines, the flow switches, the energy, and pretty much everything about his music hits hard. His wordplay reminds me of artists like BabyTron or Certified Trapper, but with a style that’s completely his own. This week, Stax is dropping the official music video for his track “10 Milly Tank,” which originally came out back in February. The song is addictive to listen to, and I’m excited to see how he brought it to life visually. Make sure you tap in when that video drops. TPG Stax is only getting started.

Now we’ve got Kay Lvls, an artist out of Minnesota who’s getting ready to drop an EP in the coming week. His sound leans heavy into that plugg style and as someone who’s a big fan of the genre, it was an easy yes for me. Kay’s been quiet with his rollout, but he recently dropped the lead single “Why Not” earlier this week, and if the rest of the tape sounds anything like that track, we’re in for a treat for sure. His vocal talent is crazy. He doesn’t need a bunch of fancy presets or heavy autotune to sound good. The delivery is there, and it’s clear that he has a ton of natural talent. There’s an energy in his music that’s hard to fake, and it sets him apart from a lot of people trying to do the same thing. This is definitely someone to keep your eye on. The EP is on the way, so now’s the perfect time to lock in with Kay Lvls.

For the next artist we’re covering, we’ve got Grimeyrxco from Richmond, Virginia. Richmond has been building a strong name in underground music for a while now, with artists like Nettspend and Black Kray putting the city on the map. But they have come and gone from the city, so it’s time for artists like Grimey to step into the light. Grimey might have the most versatile sound I’ve heard in a long time. His upcoming mixtape, VRS9TLE, lives up to its name in every way. I got the chance to hear the project early, and honestly, I was blown away. Every track brings a completely different vibe, with production that surprises you, but Grimey never loses his identity. He adapts to every beat without struggle and kills it on each. He also stays true to his roots in the city as every feature on the tape comes from Richmond. This adds even more depth to the project. You can tell he’s really building something organic and rooted in where he’s from. Grimeyrxco is easily one of the most promising artists I’ve come across lately. Keep your ears open and make sure you run VRS9TLE the second it drops. This tape is something special.

For the last artist we are covering in this first issue of "Loudpack Weekly", we have wint out of Washington D.C. The DMV has always been a hotspot for talent and wint is one of my favorite artists out of the area right now. They plan to drop an album titled "Music 4 Lonely Nights" this week and I couldn't be more excited about it. I was able to sit down with wint earlier this week and they allowed me to listen to a preview of the tape and I fell in love with it immediately. Wint uses a mix of beats on the project and his flow works on each and every single one of them. Their sound pulls from different eras of music from Duwap Kaine influence to melodies that we hear from even some mainstream artists. If you aren't tapped into the DC music scene, wint is definitely someone you should get started with. Wint is only getting started and I don't doubt I'll be seeing their name in the future.
