When you think of the Florida underground scene, the spotlight seems to be on Orlando, but I'm here to show you an artist who plans to divert that focus to Tampa. 4ourteex is a Tampa based artist who's already racked up thousands of plays and views, clearly on the come up. His versatile discography is more then enough proof to show that he's able to separate himself from the rest of the competition.
Going through his tracks and projects, you'll notice that 4ourteex is one of those artists that spills whatever he's feeling at the time on a beat. I say this because on one track you'll get a turnt up energy and the next one could very well be a more meaningful type of vibe. He makes music for people looking to have fun but also for those who feel like they need to relate to someone when going through it. He goes through small phases of trying out different sounds and beats, keeping things fresh not trying to oversaturate himself doing the same thing over and over. Regardless of what the track is trying to evoke, he always keeps his lyrics real. Although he may stretch the truth at times , as does every other artist, he's not afraid to show his true colors and being confident with every bar. One of my personal favorite lyrics of his that highlights this characteristic is, "I ain't ever shot a gun, but let a nigga play me I bet that I'm blasting him nigga", and you can hear that on his track "CATALYST". He's able to make a statement that most would never say, for fear of being ridiculed, and turned it into a hard cold bar. His delivery with words and versatility with vibes is what really makes him special and stand out.
He's recently dropped a 3 track EP called "DOUJALAND" that's actually a great start to tap into his music. It exemplifies what I've been talking about in this article so you can hear what I've been talking about when it comes to this unique artist. Don't waste time and see for yourself why this Tampa artist is on the come up.
